 Hey guys! Here are some photo competitions that you may want to sign up for. Both are judged by a panel of judges, so I highly recommend that you join one (if not both!) of the competitions as non-public judging competitions are pretty hard to find nowadays. This may also be a pretty good excuse for another field trip to Bras Pasah/ Marina bay, hehehehe.

1. HEART OF THE SCHOOL 

A Youth  Photo  Competition  and  Exhibition
In collaboration with the National Geographic Store, Singapore


Into its third year, the annual Youth Photo Competition and Exhibition is fast becoming one of the most popular photography competitions for young people in Singapore.  This year’s theme is Heart of the School.

Open to all primary, secondary and integrated programme schools, junior colleges and Millennia Institute in Singapore; online submission deadline is 2359 hours, 3rd July 2011.

Each participant is only  allowed a maximum of 4 entries. Prizes will be awarded to the top three  winners for each category as well as to the next ten entries deserving  Special Mention



2. I love Singapore: City Life photo competition


We would like to invite you to capture a slice of city life in the Bras Basah.Bugis, Singapore River and Marina Bay districts, submit your best shots to us and win attractive prizes!

We are looking for photos which best illustrate people and activities in the three districts. It could be photos of events e.g. flea markets, museum kite flying, performances etc, or the different activities people of all ages enjoy doing in the district, e.g. enjoying the sunset, strolling, museum hopping etc.

The competition is open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 8 years old and above.
The closing date for submission of entries is 20 May 2011.
